This course has been designed in consultation with industry to provide a systematic approach to managing Occupational Health and Safety within the workplace. Students are required to have completed the Certificate IV in OHS or demonstrate sufficient industry knowledge and skills related to health and safety.
This course is designed for students currently working within the area of Occupational Health and Safety. You will study theory, legislative requirements and practical applications of OHS principles to enable you to build upon existing knowledge and experience to progress your career in a management role.
Participants will learn how to identify, assess and control conditions in the work environment that are harmful to the health and safety of people in all occupations. A nationally accredited qualifcation that covers the prevention of accidents, injuries, ill health and rehabilitation of injured workers. You will study the functions of policy development, compensation, rehabilitation, the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act and its regulations.
